The Service is operated by DRAYBOND LIMITED (company number: 16021806, registered office: Academy House, 11 Dunraven Place, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, United Kingdom, CF31 1JF) ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, purchasing tokens, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Account" means the user profile created on Macix.
  • "Tokens" refer to digital credits used to perform PDF operations such as merge, split, compress, convert, extract, rotate, and more.
  • "PDF Tools" refers to all available PDF-related functionalities provided by the Service.
  • "User" or "Customer" refers to any individual or organization using the Service.
  • "Digital Service" refers to instant browser-based file processing that does not involve physical delivery.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
  • You agree not to share account access or tokens with unauthorized parties.
  • If you detect unauthorized use, contact us immediately at support@macix.co.uk.

4. Description of Services

  • Macix provides tools for merging, splitting, compressing, converting, rotating, watermarking, extracting text/images, and managing PDF files.
  • All processing is performed locally in your browser using client-side technology. We do not store or access your files.
  • Some tools may require token payment depending on complexity.
  • The Service may be updated, improved, or modified at any time.

5. Client-Side Processing and Privacy

  • All PDF operations are performed directly in the user's browser.
  • We do not upload, view, store, or analyze your files.
  • Your documents never leave your device.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your device is secure.

6. Token System, Payment and Pricing

  • The Service operates on a token-based billing model.
  • Tokens are consumed only after a successful PDF operation.
  • Token packages can be purchased using payment methods available at checkout.
  • Tokens are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
  • You will always see pricing before confirming a token-based task.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

  • Tokens are generally non-refundable because access to digital services is provided instantly.
  • Refunds may be issued for unused tokens in cases of accidental purchase or technical malfunction.
  • Refund requests must be sent to support@macix.co.uk within 14 days from the date of purchase, including your order reference.
  • Refund approval is at our discretion and in line with applicable consumer protection laws.
  • No refunds can be granted for tokens spent on successful PDF operations.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All intellectual property rights in Macix, including its algorithms, branding, user interface, and documentation, belong to DRAYBOND LIMITED.
  • You retain full ownership of any PDF files you upload and process.
  • You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use the Service for lawful document processing.
  • You may not:
  • (a) Reverse-engineer or copy our software;
  • (b) Use the Service to perform illegal or harmful actions;
  • (c) Resell access to the Service or its token system;
  • (d) Use the tools to process copyrighted material without permission.

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with all file types, PDF versions, or devices.
  • We do not guarantee that processing will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • We do not offer guarantees regarding legal or professional compliance of processed documents.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury.
  • Our total liability is limited to the total amount you paid for tokens in the last 12 months.
  • We are not liable for indirect damages including data loss, corrupted files, loss of income, lost time, or business interruption.
  • You are responsible for keeping backups of your documents.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Macix and its employees from any claims arising from misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or processing content you do not own.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We collect only minimal account-related data (email, login credentials, token balance).
  • We do not collect or store any file contents processed via the PDF tools.
  • Personal data is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Payment Providers

Payments are securely processed through third-party providers. We are not responsible for their errors, service interruptions, or data handling policies.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or illegal PDF processing.
  • Remaining tokens may be forfeited if Terms are violated.
  • Users may request account deletion at any time.

15. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Continued use of the Service following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • All disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless overridden by consumer protection laws.
